The best and most anticipated games of 2017 are now available to buy on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
But, in a surprising move, they aren’t coming from CD Projekt Red.
Instead, they are coming from Bethesda Softworks, the Polish studio responsible for the Witcher games.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the game that will make CD Projeckt Red the third publisher of the series.
The publisher announced this morning that the game will launch in North America on October 28th, and Europe on October 29th.
This will mark the first time CD Projoekt RED has released a Witcher game on PlayStation platforms in five years.
The studio also confirmed that the title will not be released in Europe until November 30th.
The game is slated to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360, but we haven’t seen a release date yet for the PC version.
A Witcher 2 was released in November 2016 on PlayStation 3, and a Witcher 3 was released on PlayStation Vita in March 2017.
CD Projaekt had previously announced that it would release a sequel to The Witcher, titled The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
We haven’t heard much about that game since its October 2017 release.
CDPR did, however, announce that it will be releasing a sequel called The Witcher: Beyond the Wall of Ice and Fire.
CDProjekts last Witcher game, The Witcher 1: The Wild Hunt, was released back in May 2017.
The last game in the series to be released for PlayStation platforms was The Witcher II: Assassins.
