NASDAQ: The biggest stock market in the world is finally taking a breather.
The Nasdaq Composite closed up 0.5% on Thursday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.1% to 18,918.46.
The S&P 500 index rose 0.6% to 2,732.55.
But Nasdaq, the benchmark for the stock market, has been losing ground.
Nasdaq’s market cap has fallen to $5.2 trillion.
The Nasdaq is now down 3.5%, from $7.3 trillion a year ago.
The benchmark index is down more than 6% from its record high in the spring of 2019.
Nasay is down 6.5%.
The stock market is still recovering, but it is no longer the most important market.
Nasays losses have been fueled by the fact that the Dow Jones Industrials have fallen by 6% in three months.
As we’ve said before, Nasdaqs market cap is $7 trillion.
And it is expected to grow by more than 10% this year.
Nasdaq stocks have been a popular investment.
The market is up more than 7% in the past 12 months.
In September alone, Nasay outperformed the S&s 500 by more 5%.
Nassay shares have a higher dividend yield than the S &Ps.
Shares of Nasdaq have surged more than 12% over the past year.
The NASDAQ is trading at a yield of 5.76%.
What happens if Nasdaq crashes?
Nasa has been trading at an annualized annualized rate of about $11.5 billion.
The last time it fell below $11 billion was in May 2018.
What should investors do if Nasay falls?
NASAY has been outperforming the S.&.;P.
If Nasay doesn’t come back to its former heights, it will cause a market correction, according to Jim Ochsner, director of financial markets at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
In the past decade, Nasays performance has been driven by its strong fundamentals.
But that has not translated into higher profits.
To keep its market share, Nasayer must maintain its market cap above $11 trillion, according the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. And its stock price needs to continue to grow.
I think there is some risk in buying Nasay, but I think investors should take a look at it as a low-risk long-term investment, said Stephen Tully, an economist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Stock market indexes are expected to rise again in coming months.
And Nasdaq could regain some ground.
“Nasay has a long way to go,” Ochsen said.
A Nasay collapse would also affect the stock markets in the U.S. and in Europe.
Investors in Nasay stock markets have been losing money, Ochssner said.
Nasayer is currently trading at about $6.20 a share.
